Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actress. Her first screen appearance was in Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 movie for which she received the British Academy Television Award as Best Actress. Can speak French, German, English as well as Romanian fluently. Her mother was a violinist while her father was a the theater professor at one of the most famous drama schools in Romania. In 2000, the Romanian Young Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. She was crowned European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in the year 2008. She also got several awards for the part in the movie 4 Months 3 Weeks 2 Days, a Romanian film that was highly praised by the London Film Critics as being the top production of 2008. In 2007, she starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 weeks si 2 zile (4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 days) by Cristian Mungiu, which won the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two additional awards (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI prize). In addition, she appeared in Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. She played Yasim Awar in BBC's five-episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca starred in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. Later, she had an important part in 2014's Fury where she played Irma her German Aunt of Emma.
