Awkwafina

Awkwafina, an American actor and singer, began by releasing a humorous rap track which dealt with the subject of sexuality and race. Her career expanded to Hollywood after she released several rap songs. The actress was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants from Forest Hills Queens her first experience with music came via trumpet. Additionally, she was given the classical and jazz education later when she began to explore hip-hop as a teenager. Following a focus on education, she was awarded a degree in journalism in the college as well as a women's studies degree. It wasn't until she graduated that her focus shift to music. Following her viral success through the Internet, her track My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually made its way onto the debut album Yellow Ranger. The album featured other viral hits like the body-positive Queef and winking hometown tour NYC Bitche$. The last track was connected directly to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide, which was published in 2015. The singer decided to make acting careers following the completion of her previous two ventures as a musician and author. In addition to early television programs like Girl Code and Tawk, she's also appeared in movies including Neighbors2Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed many notable roles that were a breakthrough, like Dude Ocean's 8, or Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released the EP in Fina We Trust.
